The Dog House and More in Ruskin

The clam strip dinner is out of this world! I absolutely love it. It's my 3rd time getting it and I want more! Love coming here to get my fix!

It was good and the owners were friendly the concept was cool but I don't think a sandwich two sides in a sweet tea should be $15 when you are eating outside in the heat.

This is a food trailer with two large aluminum carport style structures placed over top with picnic tables placed underneath. There are two smokers out front giving off the heavenly aroma of oak and smoked meat! Strikes me as one of those places you would find locals frequently visiting. The kind of place you can go to to get the flavor of the general area. The bathroom facility is a well maintained porta potty. The food here is great! The pineapple coleslaw, jalapeno corn fritters and brisket sandwich were delicious. The menu is full of tasty selections and the prices are reasonable. Look for the specials they were a very good bargain.

Best bbq brisket ever! Try the bbq brisket grilled cheese sandwich with bacon! I genuinely get sad every time I get to the last bite because my sandwich is gone, but I am too full to eat more! Their fries are good too! So is the pulled pork.

Falls off the bone bbq with great flavor, their mac n cheese is the best i have tried, its smoky with a lil bit of spice, delicious. Definitely recommend this place!

Very surprised on how great this place is. You wouldn't expect it just by looking as you pass by what an incredible menu. Many options . Very inexpensive and amazing flavors. Appetizer to dessert you can't go wrong with anything. I just happened to come when they had a live dj and an old school car show too . Great vibes here. I will definitely be back!

I was a bit skeptical of a food truck surrounded by picnic tables, but I learned you can't judge a book by its cover. Dog House and More has delicious food made to order, so you will not be disappointed! The menu is extensive with hotdogs, hamburgers, BBQ and seafood and homemade cheesecake all on offer. The hours are a bit unconventional, but the food is totally worth it.

This place is a regular stationary food truck with a wide variety menu from seafood to BBQ. The area is a couple of picnic tables with only a few in shade.The food pictured is the BB Burger and had by far the best tender BBQ in Ruskin FL. I will be back and a great little gem to visit when in the area.

My husband and I went to the Dog House because I was craving a good hot dog and since it was our Anniversary this was my husbands gift. It was wonderful everything is homemade also Tina was very friendly and helpful. Try it you'll like it😉

The food was SO good. Everyone we met in Ruskin said to try this place. We are so glad we did. If/when we get back to Ruskin we will definitely stop again.

My wife and I are in Ruskin Florida on vacation and this place is a mile from where we are staying the BBQ is out of this world, definitely coming back before we leave

THIS PLACE IS SMACK YO MAMA DELICIOUS!I stopped for a lite bite heading back to Bradenton and ended up with a pulled pork grilled cheese and it was LIFE CHANGING!!!I am tearing up a little because it's all gone!!!Bravo to the PIT MASTER!!!

Where to begin? When we finally made up our minds as to what to get, we were greeted with some of the warmest have hospitality Ruskin has to offer! Although it wasn't an easy decision because of all of the scrumptious looking items on the menu, we decided on the beef brisket, baked beans, and coleslaw, with a slice of cinnamon cheesecake. As we were enjoying everything, a gentleman offered us a couple ribs to sample as well. I have never* had ribs this tender* in my life! The meat fell away from the bone so cleanly, it was almost as if it was surrendering itself to the fact it was going to be enjoyed and appreciated by this hungry bear. When all was said and done, we left there with smiles on our faces, in our hearts, and in our tummies. Looking forward to going back soon to try some of the other delectables they have to offer 🤤

This is a nice little open-air outdoor restaurant. We were driving through and stopped in with the dogs and they enjoyed a quick drink while the family got a quick bite. Service was excellent. Nice people. The fresh desserts were nice!

Like I've said before, the place doesnt have to look fancy for it to serve up some very delicious food. This is coming from a city-boy. I ordered to-go with 1 minute left to close and they took my order and cooked everything I had asked them to. They've won several awards and theyre not afraid to post the years they've won second, I love it! I also see a lot of potential in this little spot, it literally blows any bars that I've eaten at away-especially a new franchise that I wont mention down in Miami. Dog house have kept themselves relevant over the years and their menu is filled of options. To go is the way to go for me when I order from them, but they got a nice seating area, overall very humble but their food packs a punch! 5 Stars! Keep it up!

This is a family business very friendly great work ethic. The cooks and help are very experienced in what they do. I love the food and you will too come and enjoy mouth watering food

Excellent Texas-style BBQ! The brisket was perfect, juicy and tender. The ribs and chicken fell off the bone, and the pulled pork was wonderful. Delicious sauces too! Also, the onion rings and hush puppies came out hot and crispy, and the Mac n cheese was awesome. Very friendly service and the tables are clean.

Don't let the looks of this place fool you... the food was great and they have a very extensive menu too! I went there for the brisket grilled cheese and I wasn't disappointed. My wife had the shrimp poor boy and said it was delicious. Loved the fresh cut fries too! The air smells heavenly from the smokers behind the Dog House

We were looking forward to chili dogs, burgers, hush puppies and slaw today. I understand a cook not wearing a mask over a hot grill, but the person at the counter did not have a mask on, nor did half the people waiting in line to place their order. Masks are mandated by Hillsborough County for all except when you are seated eating. In addition, they had common usage condiment containers on a table for anyone to grab. Very unsanitary in this age of Covid-19.

Food was great-tried the four meat platter. Liked the ribs, shredded pork, and brisket. Not fond of the chopped chicken. Sauces were delicious.

An awesome truly LOCAL place with a wide variety of food. Very best brisket, smokyey, tender & delicious, made by the pit master. Everything I've eaten from here has been wonderful! Pulled pork, burgers, aforementioned brisket, grilled cheese with bacon pulled pork on garlic Texas toast....the list goes on.Best coleslaw (with tiny bits of pineapple, absolutely DIVINE marshmallow maple dipping sauce with crispy sweet potato fries, are 2 reasons this local place keeps us coming back. Add in the FRIENDLY staff, a seating area for those with dogs, and the mastery of the smoker demonstrated by the Pit Master, are more reasons you NEED to get in The Dog House (and more)!

The best BBQ in town! I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw & baked beans, hubby ordered the rib sandwich with fries. We're definitely going back.
